1. Follow the instructions for use for the disinfectant.
2. Disinfect the device and its accessories as described in the table:

The device and accessories must not be sterilized.
1. Open the covering cap.
1. Remove all the measuring accessories (measuring
devices and consumables) from the device (depending
on version)

Removing the probe holder
2. Moisten a soft cloth with disinfectant (active ingredient:
quaternary ammonium compounds)
3. Wipe over all surfaces
4. Allow to air-dry for approx. 30 minutes
1. Moisten a soft cloth with disinfectant (active ingredient:
70 % isopropanol)
2. Wipe over cuff and compressed air tube
3. Rinse thoroughly with water
4. Allow to dry at room temperature
1. Discard probe cover and dispose of it
2. Moisten a soft cloth with disinfectant (active ingredient:
70 % isopropanol)
3. Wipe over temperature probe
4. Shake out temperature probe so that no liquid remains
in it
5. Allow to air-dry for approx. 30 minutes

2. Moisten a cotton bud with disinfectant (active
ingredient: 70 % isopropanol)
3. Wipe over the inner surfaces of the probe holder
4. Allow to air-dry for approx. 30 minutes
WARNING!
Patient hazard
The color of the probe holder indicates whether a device is intended
for oral/axillary or rectal temperature measurement. This distinction
can no longer be made once the probe holder has been removed.
Confusing the probe holders can lead to cross-contamination.
► Ensure that the probe holder is fitted back in the device from which
it was removed following a hygiene treatment.
