6.2.8 Special requirements when installing Window
If you want to reinstall and configure Windows NT on the A
following description points out the details that must be considered to achieve a system that optimally supports
the A
hard- and software, but it is not meant as a complete description of a Windows NT system installation.

Required parts
For the installation the following CD-ROMs are necessary:

Microsoft Windows NT Professional
•
CRS-3045-C, Control Room Suite for Windows NT/2000/XP
Windows NT installation
For the installation of Windows NT, just follow the instructions of the setup. When the installation is ready, don't
forget to install the service pack 6a. The required files are located on the Control Room Suite in the following

folder:
<CDROM>:\3rd Party\Windows NT\Service Pack 6a\SP6I386XX.EXE\
For the service pack select the same language as your Windows installation has!
Network adapter
Windows NT will configure the network card automatically but not in the appropriate way. It is necessary to do
this manually. Therefore copy the folder with the needed files from the Control Room Suite to the hard disk, e.g.
to the temp folder. On the Control Room Suite the needed files are located in:
<CDROM>:\3rd Party\Intel Pro100 Ethernet Adapter (NET-2792)
Remove the network adapter that Windows NT has configured already (Start -> Settings -> Control Panel ->
Network -> Adapter Tab, select the network adapter -> Remove). After a reboot again on the Adapter Tab
press add and indicate the folder you copied before. The network card gets installed and you are able to config-
ure it now.
