Tube power generator board fuse F2
Tube power generator board fuse F3
Tube power generator board fuse F4 and F5
Tube power generator board fuse F6
G-4 Planmeca Proline CC panoramic x-ray
Location:
On the circuit board between connector P1 and transformer T1, below filter
HS1.
Description: 5 x 20 mm 1.6 A SLOW BLOW glass tube fuse.
Function:
Protects surge resistor R1
Reasons for blow:
- Continuous overload or short circuit on the board.
- Bad fuse or wrong rating
Indication:
Er 32 at beginning of exposure.
Analysis:
Replace fuse and try an exposure. If it blows again the power generator is
defective.
Location:
On the circuit board between connector P1 and transformer T1.
Description: 5 x 20 mm glass tube fuse. Rated 0.25 A for 220/240 V; 0.5 A for 100/110 V
SLOW BLOW.
Function:
Transformer T1 primary fuse, protects the transformer against overload.
Reasons for blow:
-Transformer defective.
- Rectifier bridges D2 or D11 defective
- Capacitors C7 or C17 defective
- Bad fuse or wrong rating
Indication:
Er 32 at beginning of exposure.
Analysis:
Replace fuse and try an exposure. If it blows again the power generator is
defective.
Location:
On the circuit board near connector P4
Description: 5 x 20 mm glass tube fuse. Rated 8 A SUPER FAST.
Function:
Protects the switching power supply end stage
Reasons for blow:
- End stage FET´s defective
- Coil or tube head wirings shorted to each other or to ground.
- Defective tube head
- Bad fuse or wrong rating
Indication:
Er 32 at beginning of exposure. Fuse blow during exposure gives Er 11 or
Er 30, and next trial to make an exposure will give Er 32.
Analysis:
Replace fuse and try an exposure with tube head and coil disconnected. If
it blows again the power generator is defective. Connect coil and tube head
back one by one and try if the fuse blows. If it blows, check and replace the
last connected circuitry
Location:
On the circuit board between transformers T1 and T2.
Description: 5 x 20 mm glass tube fuse. Rated 1 A SLOW BLOW.
Function:
Transformer T1 secondary fuse. Protects the switching power supply driver
circuits.
