The radiation beam must appear within borders of the rectangle marked on the beam alignment
tool and to the right of the line marked "Soft tissue filter 0mm".

If the left-hand side of the radiation beam does not reach the line marked "Soft tissue filter 0mm"
or extends passed the line the soft tissue filter is in the wrong position it must be repositioned.
Refer to the section "Soft tissue filter adjustment" on page D-43.
Move the soft tissue filter positioning light until it strikes the line on the beam alignment tool
marked "Positioning light 25mm". The number 25 must appear on the on patient positioning dis-
play. If the display number is wrong it must be recalibrated. Refer to the section "Soft tissue filter
positioning light calibration and adjustment" on page D-40.
