If the distance from the middle ball to the center of the tenth ball on the left-hand side is more
than 122mm and on the right-hand side less than 118mm then the patient positioning mechanism
must be moved away from the column (Fig. 16). Note, that the distance between the line on the
underside of the alignment ruler and the y-line on the ball phantom must be less than ±1mm, see
section "Adjustment in ball phantom's y-direction" on page D-14.
