Input channel select
The input select section is used for selecting input channels to its input bay control
surface.
To the left of the input select section is an AREA B switch that, effectively, isolates the
input bay from the other two so that it can be operated independently. This provides
the facility for two-man or split-surface operation; see "To configure the XL8 for split
surface/dual operation" on page 205. This is also supported by the solo system with
solo B.
If, during the course of selecting a new input channel to an area A input bay, a new
bank is selected to the control surface, any other GUI screens that are selected to
display input channels and that are in the same area, change bank accordingly.
