Faders

To adjust a fader on the GUI, place cursor over fader, press and hold down select
button above glide pad or trackball and move cursor up and down to move fader as
required. The following diagram shows the master channel faders on control surface
and GUI. See "To adjust a GUI control knob via glide pad/trackball" on page 163 for
adjustment via the GUI.

Quick access buttons

These buttons quickly select the channel currently associated with the button's fast
strip and also the section within the fast strip that the button is located in; see "To
select a channel section to the GUI's channel strip" on page 173.

Using the keyboard

The pull-out keyboard, situated under the output bay, is only used for the output bay
GUI (to use a keyboard on any of the other bay GUIs you will need to plug in an
external keyboard; see "Keyboard connections and bay allocation" on page 147). It is
fitted to a slider that allows it to be pulled out for use when required and slid back out of
the way when you don't need it so that it doesn't hamper console operation.
To use the keyboard, pull it out from under the output bay. When it reaches its fully out
position a catch on either side (towards the front) will operate to lock it in place.
After use, unlock the catches by moving them up or down as appropriate (they work in
opposite directions). Then slide the keyboard back underneath the output bay.
