Input bay GUI

Each input bay is configured to display a bank of input channels (eight input fast strips)
designed to represent the actual input bay control surface layout. The channel detail
areas shown in the GUI input channel strip belong to the selected channel.

Glide pad controls GUI screen's cursor. It is
used to operate GUI-only functions as well as the
controls on the control surface, all of which can live
anywhere in the console (not necessarily the same
bay as the glide pad). See "To adjust a GUI control
knob via glide pad/trackball" on page 163.

Select and OK buttons act in combination with
the glide pad to operate the GUI-only functions, as
well as the controls on the control surface. They
operate just like left- and right-hand mouse buttons.

GUI input fast strip always shows you the
status of your critical channel controls. A highlighted
strip is active and the detail area(s) shown in the GUI
input channel strip (see item 4) relates to this input
channel. When the GUI input fast strip is one half of a
stereo pair the adjacent strip will also be highlighted.
4
GUI input channel strip shows you the status
of all the controls in the area selected in the active
overview strip. On the control surface of any input
bay, pressing a quick access button will activate its
respective channel and select the appropriate section

of that channel to the GUI input channel strip; see "To
select a channel section to the GUI's channel strip" on
page 173.

channel your control changes are affecting. Input
channel name and background can be configured, see
"To change the name and colour of an input" on
page 195.

currently displayed.
