Master controls and fader
1
ST connects post-fader channel signal to master
stereo bus via pan control. Integral LED illuminates to
show that switch is enabled.
2
MON connects post-fader channel signal to mono
master bus. Integral LED illuminates to show that
switch is enabled.
3
pan/(lcr) control knob adjusts the relative levels
sent to a left-right bus pair or the master left-centre-
right (LCR) buses. In SIS mode, it can also control the
'image' to give a constant power crossfade from LCR
to stereo.
4
Input channel LCD select button (backlit) displays
a six-character channel name and channel number.
When pressed it selects its input channel to the GUI
and its display changes to a negative image
(background becomes dark) to show that it is
selected. Deselected when another input channel
select switch is pressed. Channel name and backlight
colour are configurable. See "LCD buttons (control
surface only)" on page 165 for its operation.
5
auto safe LED illuminates to indicate channel
has been removed from scene recall (this does not
affect the action of auto mutes and VCA control
groups).
6
mute safe LED illuminates when mute has been
removed from scene recall and auto mute action.
7
MUTE switch mutes all post processing signals
exiting the channel (illuminates when mute is on). In
addition to scene recall, it can also be remotely muted
from auto mute masters.
8
mono level SIS image/(st/lcr) control knob.
In SIS mode, this image control modifies pan/(lcr)
control knob operation to place channel within a
three-speaker system. With this control knob turned
fully clockwise, pan/(lcr) operates in full LCR, where
centre panned signal (pan/(lcr) set to c position)
routes to centre speaker only (no signal in left and
right speakers). With this control knob turned fully
anti-clockwise, pan/(lcr) operates as stereo, where
centre panned signal (pan/(lcr) set to c position)
routes to left and right speakers at equal power. All
other control knob positions generate a composite
blend of stereo and LCR panning systems so that
optimum degrees of centre image focus and speaker
power can be obtained.
With this and the pan/(lcr) control knob both
centred, the channel signal is routed to all three
speakers with equal power.
Constant power is maintained at all times so that the
'image' can be adjusted during the show without a
perceived change in level.

9
SIS (spatial imaging system) switch enables
SIS™ mode, which operates with pan/(lcr) and
mono level SIS image/(st/lcr) control knobs. It
acts as an LCR master bus enable, overriding stereo
and mono master bus assignments. However, their
status remains in memory so that when SIS is
disengaged, the MONO and STEREO settings can
return. Pressing the SIS switch alters the gradations
of the st/lcr control knob (item 8) on the GUI.
10
fader safe LED illuminates if the fader has been
removed from scene recall and control from VCA
control group faders.
11
Motorised input fader controls channel signal
level and provides instant feedback of level settings.
12
SOLO activates signal routing to the Monitor "A"
section of the console by sending input channel signal
to PFL mono and AFL stereo buses. Solo system is
auto-cancelling, so that each new solo cancels the last
one. Input solos override any active VCA solos.
13
Solo B changes the operation of the SOLO switch
so that it routes signals to the Monitor "B" section of
the console. This switch also determines which of the
two sets of monitor sections (A or B) solo mode
controls, which affects switch operation. Mode
controls are PFL/AFL, solo-add-mode and solo-clear.
Extinguishes SOLO button if illuminated.
14
Name of currently selected input channel.
