Procedure 4-3: How to Select Operational Mode in the System Tab

- Step 1: Go to the Operational Mode pane in the system tab
- Step 2: Depending on the kind of media used and/or other optional devices installed, you can select
different Operational Modes. Here we load manual sheet mode by clicking the Load button (
in blue in Fig.4-15)
- Step 3: A customized slot configuration can be done after selecting the Operational mode
Note: Additional Remarks
-
Keep Down: "during the print cycle the bar is kept down"

This option is available for a combination of mode and slot-type:
-
E.g. Slot1 can kept down in manual/standard not in manual/continuous.

Not applicable on tensioning – and output-bar, if media is > 8mm
-
Not applicable on flattening – and pinch-bar, if media is > 15mm
-
Slot Type and state: during print it is not allowed to:
-
Change the slot type
-
Toggle the slot up or down
-
Enable/Disable: it is allowed to toggle the enable checkbox during print
-
The slot is disabled if the checkbox is not checked
-
The new value is used as from the next swath
-
Persistency: the latest used mode together with the latest slot configuration is saved.
-
After a restart these are being prepared as persisted
-
If the mode is changed afterwards, the slot configuration is changed to the default for that selected mode.
- Step 4: Check if the corresponding Rolls/setbar "Slot Configuration" is installed

- Step 5: Proceed to "Perform Nozzle Check".
