Network Wiring

When wiring the Cresnet network, consider the following:
Use Crestron Certified Wire.
Use Crestron power supplies for Crestron equipment.
Provide sufficient power to the system.
CAUTION: Insufficient power can lead to unpredictable results or damage
to the equipment. Use the Crestron Power Calculator to help calculate how
much power is needed for the system (www.crestron.com/calculators).
For networks with 20 or more devices, use a Cresnet Hub/Repeater (CNXHUB) to
maintain signal quality.
For more details, refer to "Check Network Wiring" on page 41.

Identity Code

The MNET ID of the SortName has been factory set to 1F. After an infiNET device
is added to an infiNET network, its MNET ID must be changed to a value that can be
addressed by the control system program (03 to 20). The MNET IDs of multiple
SortName devices on the same gateway must be unique. MNET IDs are changed
from a personal computer (PC) via Crestron Toolbox™ (refer to "Establishing
Communication" on page 31).
When setting the MNET ID, consider the following:
The MNET ID of each unit must match an ID code specified in the SIMPL
Windows or D3 Pro
Each network device on the same gateway must have a unique MNET ID.
For more details, refer to the Crestron Toolbox help file.
