Activating the Energy Saving Function via Control Byte C1

If energy saving mode is activated with a rising edge on bit 1 in control byte C1,
then the effect corresponds to a triggered STOP command for all connected SMI
drives.
The SMI drives are stopped and the SMI master module switches to energy
saving mode (see section "Digital Output").
For the SMI master module to switch from still running travel commands to
energy saving mode after completion, the controller must generate the positive
edge on bit 1 in control byte C1.
The duration of the delay depends on the maximum travel time of the shutters
installed.

Digital Output

The digital output of the SMI master module is linked to the energy saving mode.
By evaluating the digital output signal, external measures to save energy can be
introduced, e.g., shutting off external sources of power to the SMI drives (see
section "Connecting Devices" > "Connection Examples").
The SMI master module can be configured to apply 0 V or 24 V at the digital
output when energy saving mode is activated.
In the factory default setting, 0 V is applied to the digital output when the energy
saving function is activated.
If the 0 V version is configured, the setting time of the SMI drives is taken into
account when switching on the SMI master module. Communication with the SMI
drives is only possible after the setting time has elapsed.
If the 24 V version is configured, no setting time of the SMI drives is taken into
account when switching on the SMI master module.
The digital output is a 24 VDC output in accordance with IEC 61131-2.
The load to be switched must be connected to the ground wire of the power
supply.
