Forced Position

The forced position is a parameterizable response to which all SMI drives
connected to the SMI master module move when one of the following events
occurs:
Failure monitoring reports a failure of local bus communication (see section
"Function Description" > ... > "Failure Monitoring").
The failure monitoring function reports a PLC failure (see section "Function
Description" > ... > "Failure Monitoring").
The "Forced position" function is parameterized for the digital input and a
fixed signal state is present, e.g., the sensor used to monitor wind force
signals that a specific wind speed has been exceeded.
The following forced positions can be configured:
Move SMI drives up completely
Move SMI drives down completely
Maintain current position of SMI drives
After triggering the forced position, the SMI master module does not pass any
specific SMI commands or setpoints to the SMI drives. The SMI drives can only
be controlled when the cause that triggered moving to the forced position is
eliminated.

2-Button Operation

2-button operation allows basic manual control of SMI drives. The time for a short
button press can be configured in the SMI master module. A long button press is
interpreted after the configured time has elapsed.
The SMI drives can be moved by long and short button presses.
There is 1 button input each for the upward and downward movements in the
process image.
With a long button press, the SMI drives move the shutters to the top or bottom
end position.
A short button press interrupts the current movement and allows you to position
the shutter incrementally from a static state.
If the SMI drives are in motion, you can stop them with a short button press.
