Conventional Timing Acquisition Mode

Conventional Timing Acquisition Mode
The Acquisition Mode field is used to select the acquisition mode. The
acquisition mode configures which clock source is used, the channel width,
memory depth, and sampling speed.
Timing Mode Full Channel 2 GHz
In Timing Mode Full Channel 2 GHz, both pods are available on all configured
cards. Memory depth is 64 Kbits per channel. The sampling speed in this
mode is up to 2 GHz.
Timing Mode Half Channel 4 GHz
In Timing Mode Half Channel 4 GHz, only bits 0 through 3 on all pods are
available. However, memory depth is 128 Kbits per channel. Sampling speed
in this mode is fixed at 4 GHz.
When you switch back from the half-channel mode, you are asked if you want
to restore bits 4 through 7. If you answer Yes, you restore these bits to the
target system in their previous On (assigned) or Off (not assigned) setting.
