Bit Patterns Terms patt1−patt4
Bit patterns with default names patt1− patt4 are available to use for
any of the four resources. Bit pattern resource terms are set to match
the numeric value or bit pattern of a group of data channels. All bits
of the pattern that are not defined as Don't Cares (x) must match the
input data in order for a pattern to be present. Bit patterns can also
be used in a negated form (≠patt1 – ≠patt4). All term names can be
changed to a customized name that may better suit a measurement.
Edge Terms 1 and 2 (Timing only)
Edge terms with default names edge1 and edge2 are available in the
timing acquisition mode. They can be assigned to two of the four
resources to identify a rising or falling edge, or either edge. The edge
resource is true if any of the defined bit transitions occurs.
Timer/Occurrence Counter Term
Although the timer/counter is not located with the other resource
terms, it is still considered a resource term. Because the timer/counter
works exclusively for each level it is assigned to, it will not affect any
other level of the trigger specification from a global aspect. Either a
timer or an occurrence counter may be used in each sequence level,
and it can have different values assigned in each level.
