1.1.1 Mode of operation of the CTEL system

CTEL systems are composed of the following modules:
Modules
CTEL master
I-port valve terminals
I-port input modules
Other I-port modules

Functions
– Are components of a CPX system and
serve as gateway between CPX and
I-port modules.
– Provide connections for up to 4 valve
terminals or I/O modules per master
module.
– Transmit control signals to the con-
nected modules and monitor their
ability to function.
– Make available various valve func-
tions for controlling pneumatic actu-
ators.
– Relay plates, pressure zone separa-
tion plates and blanking plates can
also be integrated.
– Make available inputs for connecting
sensors and enable interrogation of
cylinder positions, for example.
