Selection of the configuration presetting
The sum of the determined I/Os is compared by the software
to the available configuration presettings (see section 1.4.1).
The suitable or next higher configuration presetting is selec-
ted.
Example:
The following devices are connected to the CTEL master mod-
ule at the system start:
– Output module with 16 outputs (2 byte O)
– Input module with 8 inputs (1 byte I)
– Valve terminal with 32 outputs (4 byte O)
– Input module with 16 inputs (2 byte I)
Sum of the required I/O bytes:
3 byte I/6 byte O
Selection of the configuration presetting:
Sum of I/O bytes
3 bytes I/6 bytes O
Distribution of the assigned addresses to the I-ports is indi-
vidually possible in the automatic configuration. That is, an
individual I/O length between 1 byte and 32 bytes can be
assigned to each I-port for determination of the sum of the
I/O bytes.
But the sum of the bytes available in total remains 32 bytes.
That means, if the 32 bytes are issued to an I-port, no more
I/Os are available for the other three I-ports.
