1.4.1 I/O configuration presettings

The CTEL master module can make available a total of up to
32 bytes for inputs and 32 bytes for outputs. The precise
amount of the I/O bytes made available depends on the re-
quirements of the connected devices or of the correspond-
ingly selected operating mode.
The address space that the CTEL master module makes avail-
able and assigns accordingly in the CPX system can be con-
figured according to 13 different presettings (see Tab. 1/4).
These presettings correspond to the selection options that
are supported within the configuration files for the respective
host system (see section 2.6).
There are 4 presettings available in each case for operation
as "pure input module", "pure output module" and for
"mixed operation".
In addition, there is a configuration for operation without con-
nected devices.
