Diagnostics/error messages

4.2.1 Priorities of the diagnostics/error messages
4-4
Note
A requirement for transmission of diagnostics/error mes-
sages (if supported by the respective fieldbus) is an exist-
ing connection to the host system (see section 2.6) and a
corresponding parameterisation of the CTEL master mod-
ule (see section 3.6).
In the operating mode "Automatic configuration" without
connected devices (0I/0O), no diagnostic/error messages
can be transmitted to the fieldbus master. The diagnostic
display in this case takes place locally through the LEDs.
The CTEL master module differentiates between 5 different
instances (system + 4 I-ports) that can cause the diagnostics/
error messages.
The instances have different priorities in the CPX system. If
several diagnostics/error messages cannot be displayed par-
allel to each other on the fieldbus side, the error message
with the highest priority is displayed.
