Example:
The following devices should be connected to the CTEL mas-
ter module at system start:
Output module with 16 outputs (2 byte O)
Input module with 8 inputs (1 byte I)
Valve terminal with 32 outputs (4 byte O)
Input module with 16 inputs (2 byte I)
Since devices with inputs and outputs should be connected,
the CTEL master module must be set to "mixed operation set
(switch S1.1 and S1.2 to "ON").
The I/O length results from the device with the highest I/O
requirements, in this case 4 bytes for the valve terminal.
Since no individual I/O lengths are possible with the manual
configuration, an I/O length of 4 bytes per I-port, that is 16
bytes (for all I-ports together) must be selected (switch S2.1
to "OFF", S2.2 to "ON").
The configuration presetting selected through this is thus
16 bytes I/16 bytes O.
In cases in which the reserved address space is not com-
pletely used by the connected devices, this results in input
and output addresses (channels) to which no device input or
output is assigned.
Input channels to which no device input is assigned are
automatically set to the value "0" in the CPX system.
Output channels to which no device output is assigned are
ignored in data transmission.
