At the start of the system, the CTEL master module checks
all I-ports for connected devices and their agreement with
the selected configuration presetting.
To make a connection set-up between the CPX terminal and
higher-order controller possible, the manual configuration
presetting of the CTEL master module must agree with the
respective entry of the corresponding fieldbus configuration
file (see section 2.6).
No setting by the user is necessary in automatic configura-
tion of the I/Os. At system start, the CTEL master module
automatically determines the suitable I/O configuration
presetting (see section 1.4.1). The precise sum of the re-
quired I/Os are used for this so that a smaller configuration
presetting can be selected compared to the manual config-
uration.
To operate the CTEL master module with the "Automatic
configuration" operating mode, the DIL switches S1.1 and
S1.2 must be set to "OFF". The position of switches S2.1 and
S2.2 is not relevant thereby.
Interrogation of the I-ports
At system start, all four I-ports are interrogated and the
number of I/Os of all connected devices is determined to the
precise byte.
