The LC511/LC512 Single-Loop Controller (hereafter described as the LC51*) is a model 1000
loop controller of the Toshiba Integrated Controller V series. By adding process I/O modules
to the LC51*, the LC51* can handle easily when the number of signals increases.
The LC51* is equipped with 6K-step area for control calculation and the LC51* can execute
PID control with up to 8 loops, various analog calculation and can also execute sequence
control.
The LC51* can use TOSLINE-S20LP and data display/operation at the TOSLINE-S20LP
upstream device can be made, and the LC51* can send and receive data to and from other
controllers.
The process I/O module is available in about 13 types, including loop, analog, digital, and
pulse, and up to 15 process I/O modules can be connected to single-loop controller with an
I/O bus.
An object oriented tool conforming to IEC61131-3 is provided to design the control function
and high-efficiency application programs can be developed using LD (ladder diagram) and
FBD (function block diagram).
Features
model 1000 Single-loop Controller (LC511/LC512) offers the following features.
• Loop display
With up to 7 loop display units (LD512H) connected to it, model 1000 monitors and
operates in the same way as a conventional single-loop controller. By switching loops, one
LD512H can monitor and operate up to 8 loops.
• PID control
The hyper PID control exclusive to TOSHIBA, a sophisticated version of
2-degrees-of-freedom PID control permits PID control of up to 8 loops.
• PI/O bus employed
Signals from a process I/O unit are transmitted through a serial bus (RS-485).
Transmission rates of 19.2 kbps are available.
• Removing/installing units while power is applied
Process I/O modules as well as the LC51* can be removed or installed while power is
applied to make maintenance work easy.
• Network installation
The LC51* can be connected to TOSLINE-S20LP of the Toshiba Integrated Controller V
series network.
• Power supply
The LC51*, loop display units and process I/O modules work on DC24V power supply.
