(6) After the session is established, the following massage is going to be displayed.
Select the [Yes] or [No] on the [Set Up a Partnership] display panel.If you select [No], set for the
connection settings only once as a guest. If you select the [Yes] the unit saves the connecting
information. After next session, the unit can establish a session with the Ethernet cable only.

• Once connected, ActiveSync resides in the personal computer, and its connection setting is going
to be kept. It will be possible to establish subsequent connections by just connecting the USB
cable to the PS-G unit until the unit is turned OFF. By saving the [PC Connection] setting by
selecting Save Registry before turning OFF the PS-G unit, the connection can also be established
by just connecting the USB cable even after the PS-G unit is restarted.
• To download data using an Ethernet network, connect an Ethernet cable as well as the USB
cable.
5.3.2

Connection Procedure Using a Serial Cable

Use the Data Transfer Cable (PSG-CB01) as a serial cable to establish the connection.
(1) Turn on the power to the PS-G unit, and then connect the personal computer for developing applications
with the PS-G unit's COM1 port using a serial cable. If you simultaneously use an Ethernet network for
downloading data, connect an Ethernet cable to the unit as well.
(2) To open the PS-G unit's Control Panel, click the [Start] button and then point to the [Settings]. From the
menu that appears, click the [Control Panel].
(3) Double click the [PC Connection] to open the [PC Connection Properties] screen.
