Software Environment
The following software environment is required for developing applications that will run on the PS-G unit.

Since the eMbedded Visual C++ 4.0, Visual Studio .NET 2003 and
Active Sync package are not included in the SDK package, you will need
to download from MSDN or purchase it separately.
• eMbedded Visual C++ 4.0 SP4 (or upper)
To be able to develop a direct executable program, eMbedded
Visual C++ 4.0 allows you to create the high-speed and compact
applications.
• Visual Studio .NET 2003
Visual Studio .NET 2003 allows you to create the Visual C# .NET
applications and the Visual Basic .NET applications used the
.NET Compact Framework that is a subset of the .NET
Framework for Windows.
The available development languages are Visual Basic .NET
and Visual C# .NET only.
In the case of developing applications by Visual Studio .NET
2003, Windows CE Utilities for Visual Studio .NET 2003 Add-on
Pack 1.1 is required, and you need download it from MSDN.
Certain Win32 APIs cannot be used with Windows CE. For details,
please refer to the MSDN and check whether the APIs you intend to
use are supported by Windows CE.
There are two type files. One is Standard Windows CE library files, the
others is library files and header files that have access to the PS-G's
unique Hardware.
Download the files from the Pro-face website (http://www.proface.com/).
A communication program which activates sessions PS-G and the
personal computer for developing applications.
Download the files from the Microsoft website.
The operation capability of the PS-G Series unit is confirmed with
Active Sync3.7.1 (Japanese/English version) and Active Sync3.8
(English version).
In case of debugging or downloading by using Ethernet, the TCP/IP is
needed. (Change the network settings in accordance with your
developing environment.)
