4.3 Start Up and Shut Down

Start Up
When the PS-G unit's power is turned ON, Windows CE starts up automatically.
When starting the unit for the first time, the language selection screen of Windows CE appears on the screen.
Select either Japanese or English. When turning on the PS-G unit for the second time and later, Windows CE
automatically starts in the version you have selected during the initial start-up process.
To change the language setting you have selected, use the following procedure.
When changing from Japanese to English:
(1) Uninstall all applications that have been installed in the Japanese language environment.
(2) Uninstall the Japanese MUI components (MUISetup.cab).
(3) Install applications that will be required under the English language environment.
When changing from English to Japanese:
(1) Uninstall all applications that have been installed in the English language environment.
(2) Install the Japanese MUI components (MUISetup.cab).
(3) Install applications that will be required under the Japanese language environment.
• To restart the PS-G unit, turn the power OFF, wait about 5 seconds, then turn the power ON
again. Occasionally, the PS-G unit will not start up correctly.
