Program Debugged Using the Emulator
The application programs not depending on the PS-G unit's original function such as the backlight and touch
panel, debugging using an emulator is available.
In the arrangement dialog panel when starting debugging, click [Deploy] button on the dialog of [Windows
CE .NET Emulator].
Program Debugged Using the PS-G Unit
(1) Connect the personal computer to be used for development and the PS-G unit via ActiveSync.

(2) Select the [Tool] tab of Visual Studio .NET 2003 and then select [Select Windows CE Device CPU].
(3) Select [ARMV4I] in the [Select Windows CE CPU] dialog box and click the [Configure] button. Then
[ARMV4I] will be automatically changed to [ARMV4T]. This is because Visual Studio .NET 2003
treats ARMV4I Device as ARMV4T Device.
(4) In the arrangement dialog panel when starting debugging, click [Deploy] button on the dialog of
[Windows CE.NET Device].
(5) The file is going to be downloaded, and then it starts debugging.
• Unless the debugging starts normally, check the session status of ActiveSync.
• After the change settings in accordance with the release note of the Windows CE Utilities for
Visual Studio .NET 2003 add-on Pack 1.1, reboot the personal computer and try debugging
again.
