1 Quick Start

To Connect the Probe

RIGOL provides passive and active probes for DS6000 series oscilloscopes. For
detailed technical information of the probes, please refer to corresponding Probe
User's Guide. The following are the probes recommended for this oscilloscope.

600 MHz, passive probe, standard, auto detection
RP3500A
500 MHz, passive probe, optional, auto detection
RP6150A
1.5 GHz, passive probe, DS610X standard, auto detection
RP7150
1.5 GHz, active probe, optional, auto detection
Besides, DS6000 series oscilloscope also supports TekProbe-BNC 2 degree probes
(with RIGOL T2R1000 interface adaptor, option) of Tektronix.
To connect the passive probe (take RP5600A as an example):
1. Connect the BNC terminal of the probe to the analog channel input terminal or
external trigger input terminal of the oscilloscope on the front panel (please refer
to "Front Panel Overview").
2. Connect the ground alligator clip or ground spring of the probe to the circuit
ground terminal and connect the probe tip to the circuit point to be tested.
