Remove the accumulated dust in the air filter housing and
cover (2) and clean with a cloth. Pay particular attention to
the cleaning of the corners and the seal of the filter.

If cleaning inside the air filter body is insufficient, the dust
penetrates inside the engine damaging it. If dust sticks to
the secondary element, the air flow becomes irregular and
the engine performance worsens. Check the condition of
the air filter body and proceed as follows:
1)
If the air filter body is in the condition shown in the fig-
ure, the cleaning performed is sufficient.
2)
If dust (A) is present on the air filter body as illustrated
in the figure, the cleaning performed is insufficient.
3)
If the primary element is installed without proper
cleaning, the dust will attach to the secondary element
as shown in the figure, causing engine damage and
performance deteriorations.
6.
Clean the primary element by blowing compressed air (up
to 2 bar) at a minimum distance of 3 cm until dust removal
is complete.
