OPERATION
3.
Check that the controls locking lever is in position FREE
(F).
4.
Check that the outriggers or blade are raised and that the
attachment is raised from the ground by at least 40-50 cm.
5.
Check that the work brake is disengaged. For details, see
"BRAKE PEDAL (3-114)"
6.
Check that the axle lock is deactivated. For details, see
"AXLE LOCK SWITCH (3-102)"
7.
Check that the control levers are in the neutral position.
8.
Select the slow or fast ratio with buttons (1). For details, see "SWITCH FOR INCREASING TRAVEL
SPEED (3-56)" and "TRAVEL SPEED REDUCTION SWITCH (3-58)".
Slow speed: Used when the machine has to be manoeuvred with precision; the speed is limited to 4 km/h.
Low speed: Used when working on uneven ground, on steep slopes; the speed is limited to 10 km/h.
High speed: Used for travelling on the road.
9.
Select the travel direction with the switch on the right joy-
stick (2). (For details, see "F/N/R SWITCH (3-102)").
10. Check that the parking brake is disengaged. For details,
see "PARKING BRAKE SWITCH (3-102)"
11. Slowly actuate the travel pedal (4). Check that the move-
ment alarm works properly. If the alarm does not sound,
contact the Komatsu Dealer, who will carry out all the nec-
essary repair operations.
