SIP Settings
If your network supports SIP, you can use it to connect calls on your system.
The SIP protocol has been widely adapted for voice over IP communications and basic video
conferencing; however, many of the video conferencing capabilities are not yet standardized. Many
capabilities also depend on the SIP server.
The following are examples of features that are not supported using SIP:

Cascaded multipoint in SIP calls.
•
Meeting passwords. If you set a meeting password, SIP endpoints will be unable to dial in to a
multipoint call.

Configure SIP Settings
You can configure SIP settings in the RealPresence Group Series system web interface.
Procedure
1. In the system web interface, go to Admin Settings > Network > IP Network > SIP.
2. Configure the following settings.
Setting
Enable SIP
Enable AS-SIP
Registration Status
SIP Server Configuration
Polycom, Inc.
Description
Enables the system to make and receive SIP calls.
Enables the system to display the AS-SIP settings
configuration options.
Read-only setting shows if your system is registered to
a SIP server.
Specifies whether to automatically or manually set the
SIP server's IP address.
If you select Auto, you can't edit the Transport
Protocol, Registrar Server, and Proxy Server
settings. If you select Specify, you can edit these
settings.
