Delete any bytes not required
You can delete bytes pre-allocated by MSI.designer that you do not require by clicking on them with the
mouse.
Ä Launch MSI.designer.
Ä Read in the hardware configuration, including the PROFIBUS-DP gateway.
Instructions: Software manual, chapter "Connecting to the safety controller"
Ä Switch to the Gateway view.
Ä Click on the byte you do not need and wish to delete.
Ä Click on the Delete icon in the command bar.

Allocating bytes to other addresses
MSI.designer allocates the addresses by default. You can manually change this address allocation by mov-
ing bytes.
In our example, we have shifted byte 1 to byte 23 in tab 1.
