Power
Monitoring system does not turn
on when Power On/Off button is
pressed.
Low battery/critically low battery
condition
NELL-1 malfunction
Monitoring system is frozen.
Monitoring system message:
System Failure (920)
Display
Blank display after normal POST
Display does not function
properly or looks distorted.
LCD is visibly cracked or broken.

Monitoring system's Power On/Off
button must be held for 1 second.
Battery is not properly seated.
Depleted battery or unsuitable
battery.
Monitoring system has been run on
battery power for the life of the
battery.
Unsuitable battery.
Reset needed.
Main board is malfunctioning.
Monitoring system opened and
harnesses disconnected.
Batteries depleted.
Battery disconnected while
monitoring system was powered on.
LCD cable is disconnected.
LCD is damaged.
Electromagnetic interference.
LCD cable disconnected or
improperly connected.
Main board is malfunctioning.
Corrective action
Press and hold the Power On/Off button for 1
second.
Check that the battery polarity is correct and that
all batteries are seated.
Ensure all batteries are 1.5V.
If problem persists, replace the batteries.
Replace the batteries.
Ensure all batteries are 1.5V.
Press and hold the Power On/Off button for 10
seconds to force the system to turn off. Turn the
monitoring system on again.
If problem persists, replace the main board.
Press and hold the Power On/Off button for 1
second to turn the monitoring system off. Turn
the monitoring system on again. Verify normal
POST.
Reconnect the LCD cable.
Replace the LCD.
Isolate sources of electromagnetic interference
(electrosurgical device, cell phone).
Reconnect or reseat LCD cable.
Replace the main board.
Replace LCD.
