1. Lightly lubricate the correct size of grinding pilot.
Install the pilot into the valve guide.
2. Choose the correct angle grinding stone and
dress the stone.

4. Turn on the power and gently apply the weight of
the grinding motor to the grindstone. Raise the
grinding stone frequently to prevent overheating.
Grind the valve seat to a smooth even finish,
paying attention to achieving an acceptable
uniform width (Table 15).

5. Use a caliper to check the valve seat width. If
the valve seat width exceeds specifications, the
valve seat may be corrected by grinding with a 15
degree or smaller angle stone.
