Initial setup and connectivity
5 (Optional) Attach the button module to the
phone.
Note:
JBM24 Button Module and Avaya
J100 Expansion Module are
supported only by Avaya J169/J179
IP Phone.
6 Determine whether you are setting the
phone in an environment with Generic
configuration.
7 Review prerequisite information and
gather the pre-configuration data.
8 Set up the provisioning server.
9 Connect Avaya J100 Series IP Phones to
the power supply and network with the
Ethernet cable.
10 Perform the installation following the tasks
for one of the selected methods.

Installing the wireless module

Before you begin

Obtain the following items:
• Phillips #1 screw driver to install the screw of the Avaya J100 Wireless Module.
• A flat screw driver that fits in the opening of the module panel.
Procedure
1. Insert the screw driver in the opening of the module panel to release the latch. Do not pry
open the panel.
