(SKRE E M), t h e RKE por t ion of t h e key will becom e

3.5.3 AUTO DOOR LOCKS

Wh en ever t h e en gin e is st a r t ed, t h e CTM r eceives
a m essa ge t o lock a ll door s except t h e dr iver s door.
Th is is a ccom plish ed t h r ou gh t h e D+ Rela y. Th e D+
Rela y is con t r olled by t h e In st r u m en t Clu st er wh ich
r eceives a com m a n d fr om t h e E CM t h a t t h e en gin e
is r u n n in g. Th is r ela y su pplies power t o t h e CTM
(for a u t o lockin g), t h e da yt im e r u n n in g la m ps a n d
t h e r ea r win dow defogger.
3.5.4 ACCIDENT RESPONSE
Th e CTM is h a r dwir ed t o t h e Air ba g Con t r ol
Modu le t h r ou gh t h e E n h a n ced Acciden t Repor t
Dr iver cir cu it . An yt im e t h e veh icle a ir ba gs a r e
deployed, t h e CTM will u n lock a ll door s a n d a
Cr a sh DTC will be st or ed in m em or y. Th e door
locks will be in oper a t ive u n t il t h a t code is clea r ed. If
t h e veh icle is sever ly ja r r ed, bu t n ot en ou gh t o
deploy t h e a ir ba gs, it is possible t h a t t h e DTC cou ld
be set a n d t h er efor e t h e door locks wou ld be in op-
er a ble. Wh en ever t h e door locks a r e n ot oper a -
t ion a l, u se t h e DRBIII a n d ch eck DTC's . If t h e code
ACM h a s u n locked t h e door s a ppea r s, u se t h e
DRBIII a n d er a se it .
3.6 VEHICLE THEFT SECURITY SYSTEM
(VTSS)
