STALLS
The stall
characteristics
are
conventional
and aural warning
is
provided
by
a
stall warning horn which sounds between
5
and
10
knots above the stall in
allconfigurations.
Power off stall speeds
at
maximum weight
for
both forward
and
aft C.G. positions are presented in Section
5.
LANDING
NORMAL LANDING
Normal
landing approaches
can be
made
with
power
on or
power
off with any flap setting desired. Surface winds and air
turbulence
are usually the primary factors in
determining
the
most
comfortable
approach speeds.
Actual touchdown should
be
made with power
otf and on
the
main
wheels first
to
reduce
the
landing
speed and subsequent
need
for
braking
in the
landing
roll.
The nose wheel
is
lowered
to
the
runway
gently after the speed has
diminished
to
avoid
unnecessary
nose
gear
loads. This
procedure is especially important in rough
or
soft
field
landings.
