Port Settings

The Port Settings page allows you to define the outer PVID and outer
mode for a selected port.
To access this page, click L2 Switching > Q-in-Q > Port Settings.

The following table describes the items in Figure 29.
Table 26. Q-in-Q Port Settings
Description
Enter the switch port (part of VLAN configuration) to configure the
selection as a tunnel port.
Enter the Port VLAN ID (PVID) to assigned the native VLAN ID. All
untagged traffic coming in or out of the 802.1Q port is forwarded
based on the PVID value
Click the drop-down menu to select between UNI or NNI role.

UNI: Selects a user-network interface which specifies communi-
cation between the specified user and a specified network.

NNI: Selects a network-to-network interface which specifies
communication between two specified networks.
Click Apply to save the values and update the screen.
The QinQ Port Information settings in the ensuing table are informational
only: Port, Outer PVID and Outer Mode.
The Generic Attribute Registration Protocol (GARP) is a local area
network (LAN) protocol. The protocol defines procedures for the
registration and de-registration of attributes (network identifiers or
addresses) by end stations and switches with each other.
