4.6.15 Secure Transmission of Control Commands

4.6.15.1 Information for a Secure Transmission of Control Commands

A list of IP addresses protects the inverter against unauthorized access via the network. The list that accepts the
specifications of control commands is stored in the inverter. This list can be created in various ways:
• Automatic capture of the accepted IP addresses in the GSM whitelist during a 24-hour phase of learning
• Creation of a list with accepted IP addresses via the user interface

4.6.15.2 Starting the automatic capture of the accepted IP addresses

In learning mode, the inverter captures the IP addresses of the computers that default control commands. The learning
mode is canceled when five IP addresses have either been captured or 24 hours have elapsed since the first inverter
received a control command.
When the automatic learning mode is started, the previous list of accepted IP addresses is deleted. An extension of an
existing GSM whitelist is not possible when using the automatic learning mode.
Starting the automatic learning mode after a firmware update
After a firmware update of a version lower than 2.50.00R to 2.50.01R or higher, the learning mode for the
capture of accepted IP addresses for the GSM whitelist starts automatically (one time only).
Procedure:
1. Log into the user interface as an installer.
2. Select Sunny Central > Settings > Network.
3. Select the button [Start learning mode].

4.6.15.3 Entering accepted IP addresses via the user interface

A maximum of five IP addresses can be entered. This makes it possible to edit entries in the automatically generated
GSM whitelist.
Procedure:
1. Log into the user interface as an installer.
2. Select Sunny Central > Settings > Network.
3. Enter the accepted IP addresses in the field GSM Whitelist. The IP addresses must be separated by a semicolon.
4. Select the button [Save].
