Saving the Configuration in a File

You can save the current configuration of the inverter to a file, except for all passwords and all settings from the
installation assistant. The saved file is coded with the serial number of this inverter and can only be used on this
inverter.
To configure the inverter, you can import the saved file.
Procedure:
1. Open the user interface (see Section 8.1, page 104).
2. Log into the user interface (see Section 8.2, page 107).
3. Select the menu Device Configuration.
4. Select [Settings].
5. In the context menu, select [Saving the configuration in a file].
6. Follow the instructions in the dialog.

Adopting a Configuration from a File

To configure the inverter, you can adopt the configuration data from a file (see Section 10.6, page 123). However,
the file must have the same serial number as the inverter.
Requirements:
☐ Changes to grid-relevant parameters must be approved by the responsible grid operator.
☐ The SMA Grid Guard code must be available. You can request the SMA Grid Guard code via the Online Service
Center.
Procedure:
1. Open the user interface (see Section 8.1, page 104).
2. Log into the user interface as an Installer (see Section 8.2, page 107).
3. Select the menu Device Configuration.
4. Select [Settings].
5. In the context menu, select [Adopting the configuration from a file].
6. Follow the instructions in the dialog.
