Connection of stand-alone option units
3.6.2 Connection of a dedicated external brake resistor FR-ABR
(FR-D720S-025SC or more, FR-D740-012SC or more)
Install a dedicated brake resistor (FR-ABR) outside when the motor is made to run by the load,
quick deceleration is required, etc. Connect a dedicated brake resistor (FR-ABR) to terminal
P/+ and PR. (For the locations of terminal P/+ and PR, refer to the terminal block layout
(section 3.3.2).)
Set parameters below (refer to section 6.8.2).

CAUTION:
● The brake resistor connected should only be the dedicated brake resistor FR-ABR.
● Do not remove a jumper across terminal + and P1, resp. P/+ and P1, except when
connecting a DC reactor.
● The shape of jumper differs according to capacities.
