PROTECTIVE FUNCTIONS

Parameter storage device fault (control circuit board)
The converter output is shut off if a fault occurs in the parameters stored. (EEPROM failure)
Check for too many number of parameter write times.
• Set "1" in Pr.342 (write to RAM) for the operation which requires frequent parameter writing via
communication, etc. Note that writing to RAM goes back to the initial status at power OFF.
• If the situation does not improve after taking the above measure, please contact your sales representative.

Communication option fault
The converter output is shut off if a communication line error occurs in the communication option.
• Check for a wrong option function setting and operation.
• Check that the communication option is plugged into the connector securely.
• Check for a break in the communication cables.
• Check that the terminating resistor is fitted properly.
• Check the option function setting, etc.
• Connect the communication option securely.
• Check the connection of communication cables.

Connection mode fault
If the setting of connection mode selection switch (common bus regeneration mode or power regeneration
mode) does not match the actual wiring of the main circuit terminals, the protective function is activated to
stop the operation of the multifunction regeneration converter.
Check that the setting of Pr.415 SW2 setting status is correct. (Refer
