Parameter details
Operation selection at a communication error (Pr.502)
The converter operation at a communication line error occurrence or at an option fault occurrence can be selected.

• Converter operation at fault occurrence
Fault type

Communication option
∗1
When the communication returns to normal state within the time period set in Pr.500, the communication option error (E.Q) does not
occur.
• Converter operation at fault recognition after the elapse of a time period set in Pr.500

NOTE
• Communication line error E.Q (fault data: HA1) is an error that occurs on the communication line. Communication option fault
E.1 (fault data: HF1) is an error that occurs in the communication circuit inside the option.
• The "fault signal" in the tables above refers to the Fault output (ABC) signal or fault bit.
• When the fault signal is set to output, each fault is stored in the fault history. (A fault record is written to the fault history at a
fault signal output.)
When the fault signal is not set to output, fault record is temporarily overwritten to the fault history but not stored.
After the fault is removed, the fault indication is reset, changing the display back to normal, and the latest in the stored fault
records is displayed in the fault history.

Communication EEPROM write selection

(Pr.342)
Storage device of the parameter settings can be changed to RAM only from EEPROM + RAM for the parameter writing
through the RS-485 communication or the CC-Link communication. Use this function if parameter settings are changed
frequently.

Communication EEPROM
342
write selection
• When changing the parameter settings frequently, set "1" in Pr.342 to write them to the RAM only.
The life of the EEPROM will be shorter if parameter write is performed frequently with the initial setting "0" (written to the
EEPROM and RAM).
NOTE
• Turning OFF the converter's power clears the modified parameter settings when Pr.342 = "1" (written to the RAM only)".
Therefore, the parameter settings last stored to EEPROM applies at next power-ON.
