Step 5. Select the second current calibration point.
Front Panel:
The second calibration point is automatically
selected "Enter P2 measured data" should be
displayed.
Step 6. Calculate the shunt current (I=V/R) and enter the data.
Front Panel:
Enter the calculated value into the data field
and then select Next. Then select Close.
Low Range Current Programming
Step 1. Connect only the current measurement terminals of the Keysight 3458A
to the output terminals.
Step 2. Select the low-current programming range. The value to program a
range must be the maximum current of the range. This example selects
the 100 mA range of output 1.
Front Panel:
From the Calibration menu, select Current,
Low Range Programming. Then select Start.
Step 3. Select the first current calibration point. Wait a minimum of 5 minutes for
the output current to stabilize.
Front Panel:
The first calibration point is automatically
selected. "Enter P1 measured data" should be
displayed.
Step 4. Measure the current with the Keysight 3458A and enter the value.
Front Panel:
Enter the value from the external DMM into
the data field and then select Next.
Step 5. Select the second current calibration point. Wait a minimum of 30
seconds for the output current to stabilize.
Front Panel:
The second calibration point is automatically
selected. "Enter P2 measured data" should be
displayed.
Step 6. Measure the current with the Keysight 3458A and enter the value.
Front Panel:
Enter the value from the external DMM into
the data field and then select Next. Then
select Close.
