You can also check by accessing the Teldat-3Ge-USB monitoring console through telnet and executing the
shomonitor version command.
Check the version through a web access to the device. To do this, execute a client http (web browser) in a computer
on the address the DHCP assigned to the Teldat-3Ge-USB. (http://172.24.78.28 in the example.)
The STATUS LED lights up in steady YELLOW during the application updating.
There are two basic updating methods, explained in the following paragraphs.
9.1 Using the router as a TFTP server
The first steps to carry out in the corporate router are:
• For a Teldat router, save the firmware file through FTP.
• For a Cisco router, use TFTP.
• Enable the TFTP server in both types of router.
The sequence of commands to use in a Teldat router is as follows:
feature tftp
-- TFTP user configuration --
server file-system DSK
server enable
exit
The sequence of commands to use in a Cisco router is as follows:
access-list 2 permit any
tftp-server flash:fwethant.img 2
You can also modify the access list so that only this is authorized to download the fwethant.img file from a source
address, which is the Teldat-3Ge-USB.
