For a Cisco router configured with PPPoE, run the show ppoe session and show pppoe session all commands to
view the status of the PPPoE session:

For a Cisco router configured with L2TP, the show l2tun command is used to view the state of an L2TP session:
%No active L2F tunnels
L2TP Tunnel and Session Information Total tunnels 1 sessions 1
LocID RemID Remote Name
54565 64091 01.03-EthAnt- est

%No active PPTP tunnels
When the state isn't State:established (State est for the Cisco), there is probably no access to the Teldat-3Ge-USB
device (DHCP has not terminated correctly). To check this (for a Teldat Router), access the DHCP monitoring menu
and check the assigned addresses (leases command):
========================================
..:: Currently assigned DHCP Leases ::..
========================================
172.24.78.28
For a Cisco router, the assigned addresses can be viewed by running show ip dhcp pool:
Pool ethant :
Utilization mark (high/low)
Subnet size (first/next)
Total addresses
Leased addresses
Pending event
0 subnet is currently in the pool :
