f) Edit the Cutting Method
• Type of Cut
The machine can run several types of cut: NORMALE, PIANO, LASER, VERTICALE.
If provided for on the data card, the user can edit the type set by default.

Press F1 to view the type of cut set by Silca for the data
card and the possible alternatives (if applicable).
Edit the set type of cut with
one of the alternatives
given.
The type of cut is active
throughout the time the
machine is in use.
When
the
turned off the function
returns automatically to
the original setting for the
type of cut.
ATTENTION:

ORMAL
For conventional car and door keys.
F
LAT
Mainly used for car keys where the cut edges are rounded to facilitate the
movement of the blades when the key is put into the lock.
L
ASER
Conjunction of the cutting angles is determined automatically
by the machine, allowing cuts to be made with variable angles;
this facilitates the smooth entry of the key into the lock,
prolonging the working life of the key.
V
ERTICAL
Necessary for special keys with small bits (Silca art. FO19P,
FO21P...) where a special cutter is required.
When this cutting method is used a special angled cutter is
needed.
