IMITED ACCESS TO
Silca has limited access to some of the data in the Database in agreement with certain manufacturers.
Limitations are applied to:
DATA CARD, if the key-cutting card is protected, access is denied.

To access protected data:
a) apply to the manufacturer for authorization.
b) communicate to Silca:
- cutting machine SERIAL NUMBER
- cutting machine ID
- the ACTIVATION CODE
Silca will issue a Password to enter in order to enable
cutting of the protected system.
When a protected data card is selected from the F1
menu (e.g.: 2211) the following screen will appear:
When the manufacturer's authorization has been
given, contact SILCA to be issued a password,
providing the following information:
- Machine serial No XXXXXXXXXXXXX
Read the serial number on the ID plate located on
the back of the key-cutting machine or on the initial
display.
- Machine ID XXXXX
Can be seen in the box used to apply for the
password.
- ACTIVATION Code XXXXXXXXXX
ONLY shown when access is tried to protected data.
Enter the password issued by Silca into the relevant
field.
If the password entered is correct, the following
screen will appear:
• The password can be saved (with ENTER) so that it will not
be necessary to enter it again when using the protected data
card.
• Press STOP if you don't want to save the password in the
machine memory. In any case the choice made is enabled for
the operation in progress.
The password will be required again for future ac-
cess to the data card.
PROTECTED DATA CARD ENABLING PROCEDURE
1) Enter the data card number.
2) Press ENTER.
3) Enter the Password.
4) Press ENTER.
5) Press ENTER again to confirm.
