Disabling a Module

Use this command to temporarily disable a module without removing it from the
system. The following example procedure disables the module in shelf 1, slot 12.
1. Log into the SSU-2000e using the procedure in
page 102.
2. Disable the module:
ICS command:
Type
config 1A12 disable
TL1 command:
DISC-MODULE::S1A12:123;
3. Log off the SSU-2000e when you're finished.
Removing a Module
Use this procedure to permanently remove a module from the system. If a module
has been unplugged from the system, this command can also be used to clear the
module's active alarms. The following example procedure removes the B Clock
module in shelf 1, slot 12 from the registry.
1. Log into the SSU-2000e using the procedure in
page 102.
2. Remove the module from the database:
ICS command:
Type
config 1A12 remove
TL1 command:
RMV-MODULE::S1A12:123;
3. Verify that the module is not in the registry:
ICS command:
Type
config
TL1 command:
RTRV-CONF::1A12:123;
4. Log off the SSU-2000e when you're finished.
