Restrictions and guidelines

When you configure LDP session parameters, follow these restrictions and guidelines:
The configured LDP transport address must be the IP address of an up interface on the device.
Otherwise, no LDP session can be established.
Make sure the LDP transport addresses of the local and peer LSRs can reach each other.
Otherwise, no TCP connection can be established.
On the following interface modules, the loopback interface address is not available for LDP IPv6
transport address configuration:
