Step3. Setting the Network function on the radio
In this guide, explains how to set the radio for
operating the remote control system through the LAN.
When using the remote control system using the
Internet, read the RS-BA1 Instruction Manual
("3. WHEN CONNECTING TO THE NETWORK
DIRECTLY" section).
This section describes how to setup the Base station.
Before configuring the settings, turn ON the radio.
• Except for the IC-7610
1. Hold down [EXIT/SET] for 1 second to select the
Set mode menu screen.
2. Push [OTHERS](F-5) to enter the Others set
mode.
3. Push [▲](F-1) or [▼](F-2) to select the desired
item.
• See page B-5 for the setting items.
4. Adjust/select or enter the needed contents.
• See page B-5 for the setting contents.
• Hold down [DEF](F-4) for 1 second to return them to
their defaults.

5. Push [EXIT/SET] to exit the Set mode.
NOTE: When you change the setting that
shows "(Valid after Reboot)," you have to reboot
the radio after setting, so they will take effect.
• After the reboot, keep the radio's power ON,
or remain in the remote standby mode.

To prevent unauthorized access:
Set a long and strong password so that no one can
possibly guess it.
Mix upper and lower case letters, numbers or
characters.
• For the IC-7610
1. Push [MENU] to display the MENU screen.
2. Touch [SET] to enter the Set mode.
3. Touch the category that you want to select.
4. Touch the item to open the item's setting screen,
or open its next tree level.
• See page B-5 for the setting items.
5. Touch to select or set the option.
• See page B-5 for the setting contents.
• Push [QUICK] and touch "Default" to return them to
their defaults.
• See the RS-BA1 Instruction Manual for details.
6. Push [MENU] to exit the Set mode.
NOTE: When you change the setting that
shows "(Valid after Restart)," you have to restart
the radio after setting, so they will take effect.
• After the restart, keep the radio's power ON,
or remain in the remote standby mode.
